MURDER HUNT

What is it - A murder mystery has to be solved. This activity has 2 options.
A) Crime Investigation; team is given clues and through discussion, elimination and negotiation they have to find the Who, Where, How etc.
B) The team has to solve the murder mystery by finding the clues hidden in a variety of places around the venue. However finding the clues is not always straight forward.

What you get out of it - Both options require teams to discuss, develop a time line, negotiate and eliminate clues. Option A) is used as a part of several of the formats presented here and is great to highlight the discussion and negotiation components of a team. Option B) is a full activity in itself, and requires the team to problem solve, complete tasks and then discuss, eliminate and negotiate.

Ideal Location - Option A) small indoor or outdoor area where the team can sit in a circle. Option B) Northridge Country Lodge, Okoroire Hotel, and any venue that has a reasonable sized outdoor area that clues can be hidden around.

Ideal numbers - Minimum 6, Maximum 50

Duration - Option A) 20 minutes, Option B) 1 to 2 hours

More Info - A dastardly crime has been committed. Someone has been murdered and the team has to discover who committed the crime, where it took place, what weapon was used, at what time and why such an awful act was perpetrated. The answer to these questions can be found in the numerous clues and exhibits which have been hidden in a variety of places which will need skill, courage and mental agility to retrieve. Once in the team's possession the team then have to come to their conclusions before the perpetrators make good their escape.
